Age of Sail Museum

Age of Sail Museum; overlooking the tidal Greville River, pays tribute to the heritage of the communities along the Minas Channel. Through pictures, videos, story telling, models, artifacts and hands on exhibits, the museum brings to life the history of shipbuilding and lumbering. There are special activities for children.

Fundy Geological Museum

Discover an ancient world and see some of the oldest dinosaur bones in Canada. Explore the Mineral Treasures of Nova Scotia, exposed when the great Fundy Tides washed away the sea cliffs.

Golfing

For keen golfers a visit to the Golf Club is not to be missed. Acclaimed as one of the most scenic courses in the world. This challenging 9 hole, 2,343 yard, par 33 course, is situated on the shores of the Minas Basin. Golfers and visitors will enjoy a spectacular view of Bay of Fundy. The course borders a 100 foot cliff to the beach below number #2 fairway and #3 tee.

If that’s not exhilarating enough for you, how about trying your hand at sea-kayaking or coasteering in some of the most spectacular surroundings in the world? At Cape Chignecto Provincial Park, towering 185-meter (600-foot) cliffs rise from the Bay of Fundy while the world’s highest tides lap at their base. Cape Chignecto is a 4,200-hectare natural environment park on a dramatic coastal peninsula. The park features 29 kilometres (18 miles) of pristine coastline, some of Nova Scotia’s most significant geological features, deep valleys, sheltered coves, rare plants, remnant old growth forest, scenic views, and a rich cultural heritage. Cape Chignecto offers wilderness camping in secluded coves and ravines, while a spectacular coastal hiking trail leads visitors along high cliffs and deep valleys. Enjoy hiking, bird watching, rock hounding, and geo-caching. Kayaking and paragliding are also available through local private operators.
